The Furologist is a family-owned and operated full-service pet care center dedicated to providing dogs with exceptional care across grooming, training, daycare, and overnight boarding. We focus on both the physical and emotional well-being of every dog, creating a high-quality, low-stress environment where pets can play, learn, relax, and thrive. More than service providers, we proudly consider ourselves Canine Caregivers.
For us, pet care is more than a task—it’s a way of connecting with animals and honoring the unique role they play in our lives. Dogs support our health, ease stress, and offer unconditional companionship, and at The Furologist, we give back through compassionate care, expert grooming, thoughtful training, structured daycare, and attentive overnight boarding that nurtures each dog’s mind, body, and spirit.
Education is a cornerstone of our approach, for both pets and their families. From coat maintenance and nutrition to behavior and training techniques, we help pet parents feel confident and supported. Our training programs emphasize balanced, relationship-focused methods that strengthen communication, build confidence, and teach skills that last a lifetime.

At The Furologist, “family owned and operated” isn’t just a tagline — it’s our daily reality. Most days it’s the two of us running the show, but you might also catch our kids moonlighting as “vacuum fairies,” our mom holding down the register, or a sibling drafted in as an “assistant for the day.” Even our dogs pitch in (they take their job as greeters very seriously). Around here, it truly takes a family to keep the tails wagging and the fur flying!
